Haymarket Theatre - Shirley Valintine Set
The seashore set was constructed using large plywood boxes covered with polystyrene and then carved to look like slabs of rock.

All the windows and doors had to be individually made as they got smaller looking up the street.

This skip was designed to be assembled in sections to be able to break it down and get it into the Theatre venue.

This set was covered with old random vacform brickwork with plywood sewer pipes put through.
After the set was painted and aged down, it had glaze poured down it to look like running water.

The boot was constructed with plywood formers and skin ply. It then had to have a truck unit consealed underneath.
It was then covered in foam, gauzes and then painted.
